FAQ

  • How much do classes cost?
  • How is payment made?
Enrollment is for the session and payment is on a month-to-month basis. Monthly tuition payment is made for classes of the upcoming month on a schedule you choose during registration; either the 15th, 25th, or 1st of each month. Payment is made by credit card, debit card, or bank withdrawal. We do not accept cash for tuition. A bank account, credit card, or debit card is required to be on a waiting list, but your account is not charged until you or your child is enrolled in a class.
  • What is the Portal?
The portal is your online account at Sokol Baltimore and is used to enroll in classes, register for special events, and update your contact and billing information. A portal account is automatically created for the family when they enroll in classes. Your login ID is the email address used to register for classes.
  • How do I enroll my student in class?
New Families and Students: A link that says "Register" will appear in the left column of the class listing when registration is open for that class. Clicking this link will bring you to a secure site with our web registration form. If the link says "Waitlist", it means enrollment is full, but you may add yourself to the waitlist. When openings come up, or we add another class, we will email you. If there is no link that means the class and the waitlist are both full. There is never a link for the intermediate or advanced classes since these registration links are sent directly to the families in these classes. If you are new to the program and want your gymnast to be assessed for intermediate or advanced, please send us an email to info@sokolbaltimore.org with some notes about their skill level. We will set up an assessment. Current Families and Students: Log into your Portal to enroll.
  • How do I add my student to the waitlist?
New Families and Students: A link that says "Waitlist" will appear in the left column of the class listing when class enrollment is full. Clicking this link will bring you to a secure site with our web registration form. You may complete this form to be added to the waitlist. When there are openings, or we add another class, we will email you. Current Families and Students: Log into your Parent Portal to add your student to a class waitlist.
  • How do I withdraw my student from class?
Thirty days written notice from the parent/guardian is required to cancel enrollment during the session. This allows us time to contact families on the waiting list and enroll a new student.

  • What is Sokol’s inclement weather policy?
Sokol Baltimore does not follow any school district closing decisions. We will provide an announcement via email and text if the facility is going to be closed. If your class is cancelled due to our facility closing, or a class is cancelled due to instructor absence, we will do our best to offer an opportunity to reschedule the class within 30 days.
  • What are the gym rules?
No curbside drop-off or pick up; please accompany your gymnast into the lobby and pick them up inside the building after class. Parents must stay in the lobby to supervise their child until the instructor begins class. Except during your child's class time, they should not be on the gym floor. Parents must supervise siblings who aren't participating in class. Parents are encouraged to stay to observe class. Please stay off the gym floors. If you do not stay during class, please return promptly to take your gymnast home. Leotards or shorts and a T-shirt are acceptable attire. Long hair must be pulled back. Please consider no hair beads. They hurt students when doing some gymnastics skills. The cubbies in the lobby are for street shoes, coats, and bags. No street shoes allowed on the gym floors. Bring a water bottle. No drink containers allowed on the gym floors. The instructors call their classes to gather in the lobby at the start of class and lead them into the gym. Students being disruptive will be taken out of class. Students who are excessively or repeatedly disruptive will be excused from the program. There are no refunds or credits for missed classes. One makeup per student per month is allowed. Classes may be made up during other class times (where space allows) or open gyms.
